The challenge
Zonacer0 is a local fitness business that needed to build its digital presence from scratch. Before the project, the gym had no website, no online systems and no defined visual identity for its online communication.
The business needed more than a website. It needed a clear brand presence that could make the gym feel professional, trustworthy and easy to understand for potential clients discovering it online.
The main challenge was to create a digital identity and website that could communicate the value of a local fitness business in a clear and credible way.
The project had to solve several needs at once:
- define a visual direction for the brand,
- create a professional first impression,
- explain the gym’s offer clearly,
- make the experience work well on mobile,
- and give the business a simple digital foundation for future growth.
The goal was not to overcomplicate the brand or the website, but to create something direct, energetic and useful for a real local business.
My role
I handled the project end to end, from branding to design, development and deployment.
My work included:
- brand direction,
- visual identity foundations,
- information architecture,
- web design,
- responsive UI design,
- frontend development with Astro,
- deployment on Vercel,
- and additional automated workflows for the business.
Approach
Building the brand foundation
The first step was to define a visual direction that matched the nature of the business: active, direct, accessible and professional.
The branding needed to feel strong enough to give the gym a recognizable presence, but simple enough to work across practical touchpoints such as the website, social media and internal communication.
Rather than creating a complex identity system, I focused on the essentials: a clear visual style, consistent use of typography, layout, color and graphic elements, and a digital look that could support the business immediately.
Creating a clear local business website
The website was structured around the questions a potential client would naturally have before contacting or joining the gym:
- what the business offers,
- who it is for,
- what makes it different,
- and how to take the next step.
The design focuses on clarity, rhythm and accessibility. Each section was planned to make the offer easier to understand and to build confidence as the user moves through the page.
Choosing a simple and efficient technical setup
I developed the website with Astro because the project was mainly informational and did not require a heavy framework. This allowed the site to stay fast, lightweight and easy to maintain.
The website was deployed on Vercel, creating a clean and reliable publishing workflow.
Adding value beyond the website
Beyond the public-facing website, I also created simple automated workflows for the business, including a Notion database, a Telegram bot and an onboarding system.
This helped the project go beyond visual presence and improve how the business could manage part of its internal process.
Outcome
The final result was a complete digital foundation for Zonacer0: a defined visual direction, a professional live website and simple internal systems to support the business.
The project gave the gym its first proper online presence and helped transform a fully manual setup into a more organized and credible digital experience.
Reflection
Zonacer0 is a good example of how branding, web design and development can work together to create real value for a local business. The project was not just about making a website look good; it was about helping the business present itself more clearly, professionally and confidently.
